About the Pea Ant

The Pea Ant is a green ant whose segmented body looks like a pea pod. Its name is easy to mishear as "P Ant".

It comes up in Mythic rolls priced at $2.8 billion, often late enough that it is a new Index entry.

It is worth the $2.8B: a Pea Ant earns about 1.68M per trip at purchase — roughly twice a Train Ant — and 3.36M with a Candy potion.

How to get the Pea Ant

Mythic Egg roll

Unlock the Mythic Egg with the first Upgrade Ant Queen step (about $26K, or Egg Luck level 5), then keep rolling. Mythics cost hundreds of millions to a couple of billion on the podium.

Price and value

The podium price seen was $2.8B, which makes it the most expensive Mythic ant with a recorded price. A mutation on the rolled ant raises the price, so a mutated copy can cost more than the base version.

Income in Build an Ant Empire depends on more than the ant: its level, its mutation, your Food Gain upgrade, Ant Speed and any jelly all multiply what it brings back per trip. Use the EFF calculator to compare a mutated ant with an upgraded one before spending.

Mythic rarity explained

Mythic ants come from the Mythic Egg, which you unlock with the first Ant Queen upgrade (about $26K). Podium prices sit around $700M to $2.8B, so the first one takes a while to save for; a $700M Mythic could also be bought for 100 Robux.

The Flying Saucer Ant is a common shortcut: it is given out as an early daily or playtime reward, so many colonies own a Mythic within minutes.

Best mutation for the Pea Ant

Mid-game ants are where Bubblegum (1.75×, $5M) and Candy (2×) start paying off. Candy potions are frequently won from the Strawberry King wheel, and they are a natural fit for a first legendary or mythic.

Once your income reaches the billions, a Rainbow potion (2.25×, $100B) is a modest step up from Candy. Remember that a potion cannot replace an existing mutation — use the $100K Mutation Removal Potion first.
