Build An Ant Empire - Bosses

Dungeon bosses open on timers around the map. Your entire colony fights them; they drop Pet Coins, pet eggs and Star Coins.

What are bosses and dungeons?

Dungeons are boss fights that open on a timer. Every ant you own attacks automatically, round after round, while you click to boost attack speed. Rewards are Pet Coins and a chance at the boss's pet egg; the Starfall boss pays Star Coins instead.

King of Snail – Build an Ant Empire

King of Snail

Drops: Pet Coins, Snail Egg
Snail dungeon boss. HP climbs fast — about 430K at round 10 for a new colony, 97M in later rounds against a stronger colony.
  • Rewards seen: Pet Coins, the Snail Egg and speed jellies.
  • Pick up the "double pet coins" and +15 seconds items that drop during the fight.
King of Ladybug – Build an Ant Empire

King of Ladybug

Drops: Pet Coins, Ladybug Egg
A tougher dungeon boss; a mid-game colony only cleared three rounds, while a stronger one reached round 17 (about 350M HP).
  • A late-game colony got the Ladybug Egg at around round 19; it took 10 minutes to hatch.

Fight tips

  • Every ant you own fights automatically — a stronger colony means more damage.
  • Click during the fight to fill the attack bar; it boosts attack speed up to 4× and drains back down.
  • Pick up the +15 seconds items that drop to extend the timer.
  • Each round adds more boss HP. Exit (top right) when you stop making progress — rewards are kept.
  • Dungeon runs pay Pet Coins and can drop pet eggs.

How dungeon fights work

Dungeons open on a timer — the banner reads "A dungeon has appeared" — and stay open for a few minutes (King of Spider showed a 3 minute 15 second timer). Walk in, press Start, and every ant in your colony runs in to attack the boss. You do not control them; a stronger colony simply does more damage.

Fights are round-based. Each time the boss falls it comes back with more HP: a new colony reaches about round 4 against King of Spider, while King of Snail climbs to 97M HP against an established colony. Clicking fills an attack bar on the right side of the screen that boosts attack speed, and +15 seconds pickups extend the timer. When you stop making progress, exit from the top right; you keep what you earned.

Boss by boss

  • King of Spider — usually the first dungeon. Easy enough for a new colony to clear several rounds; drops Pet Coins and the Spider Egg.
  • King of Snail — HP rises fast in later rounds. Drops the Snail Egg (+7–9% ant luck and an earnings boost).
  • King of Ladybug — a tougher fight; a mid-game colony clears only about three rounds, a strong one about 17. Drops the Ladybug Egg (+food value).
  • Mantis — described as the last dungeon. The Mantis Egg is a rare drop, and reaching round 7 is no guarantee.
  • Starfall Star — not a dungeon but the boss of the Starfall event, fought once 30 stars are placed. Pays Star Coins.

When to fight

Dungeons get easier as your colony grows. A boss that barely takes damage at first can fall round after round once the colony is stronger. If a boss feels hopeless, keep upgrading and come back the next time it opens.
